Leslie M. Slowikowski, D.M.D.
Dr. Leslie Slowikowski grew up in Factoryville, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Park and Recreation Management. After graduation, she worked in the outdoor industry for several years. Dr. Slowikowski then attended the University of Nevada – Las Vegas to take the prerequisites for dental school and received her DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She then completed the NYU Hospital Centers Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry program in Providence, Rhode Island. After residency, she returned to Pennsylvania and worked in a private pediatric dental office in Harrisburg. While working as a pediatric dentist Leslie’s interest in orthodontics intensified and she went to on pursue her certificate in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics from NYU Langone Hospitals in Brooklyn, New York. Previous work experience and interest in treating children with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies lead her to Children’s Hospital Pittsburgh; where she completed her craniofacial orthodontic fellowship. Dr. Slowikowski has experience with nasoalveolar molding (NAM) and infant ear molding, in addition to her experience with complex orthodontics. She is excited to join the team at Children’s Hospital New Orleans and looks forward to creating beautiful smiles and lasting relationships with her patients.
