Hans C. Andersson, MD
Dr. Hans Andersson is a pediatric geneticist at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. He earned his medical degree and completed pediatric residency training at Tulane University School of Medicine. He then completed his fellowship in Clinical Genetics and Clinical Biochemical Genetics at the National Institute of Health. Dr. Andersson is board-certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) in Clinical Genetics and Clinical Biochemical/Molecular Genetics. He has also maintained certification from the American Board of Pediatrics for 25 years. Dr. Andersson sees patients at Tulane Lakeside Specialty Clinic in Metairie and at Children’s Hospital Main Campus in New Orleans. His special interests include Inborn errors of metabolism, lysosomal storage disorders, Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation, and Phenylketonuria. Dr. Andersson values his relationships with his patients because he’s learned so much from listening to them. Each patient is unique, and the opportunity to hear their stories gives him inspiration for the future.
