Behavioral Health Jobs

Join our Behavioral Health team

As one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive pediatric Behavioral Health Center's, Children's Hospital New Orleans offers a wide range of services to improve emotional and mental well-being of children and adolescents, including inpatient support, outpatient clinics, and community based programs. A full portfolio of inpatient and outpatient services is staffed in tandem by our departments of psychology and psychiatry in partnership with Tulane University School of Medicine and LSU Health New Orleans.

Faculty from both LSU Health New Orleans and Tulane University School of Medicine work with Children's Hospital as collaborative academic partners, providing opportunities to enhance patient care, promote scholarship and integrate training. This partnership is a huge success for the Behavioral Health service line, as we have two major academic medical programs providing extraordinary care to our patients in need. Together we strive to enhance care for patients in the hospital, and to facilitate close follow up for children with specialty needs, such as autism spectrum disorders and psychosis.

In addition to increasing and expanding access to care for patients, medical trainees have benefited from mutual support as child psychiatry trainees and medical students from both universities have taken the lead in working together to meet the growing demand for behavioral health services across our community. With the support of Children’s Hospital, LSU Health New Orleans and Tulane University School of Medicine, psychiatrists are able to identify and implement best practices for patients in the community.
