Cardio Genetics Clinic

About the program

Our Cardio Genetics Clinic provides comprehensive clinical care for children with inherited heart disease and other genetic conditions that can lead to the development of heart defects. Led by an experienced team with knowledge of genetic disorders that impact the heart and blood vessels, we strive to create the best possible outcome for each one of our patients.

Our multidisciplinary team of genetic specialists, cardiologists and nurse practitioners evaluate children in the Cardio Genetics Clinic at Children's Hospital of New Orleans and collaborate with electrophysiologist and heart failure specialists when these specialties are needed. Utilizing our advanced testing capabilities, we can thoroughly screen and accurately make a diagnosis.

From there, our highly specialized team will devise an individualized treatment plan for each patient, working collaboratively with your other children's healthcare providers.

We also address how a patient's condition may impact a family and offer advice on how best to manage it. Through it all, we monitor your child's progress and then connect you to other specialists and resources as needed.
