    Dr. Rodolfo Begue specializes in Infectious Disease and International Adoption at Children’s Hospital. With 33 years of experience, he serves as a Professor of Pediatrics at LSU Health New Orleans, and the Division Head of Infectious Diseases and Director of Infection Control at Children's Hospital. Dr. Begue received his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed his fellowship in Infectious Disease at Rhode Island Hospital & Brown University. Dr. Begue is board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Infectious Disease and Immunizations by the American Board of Pediatrics and American Board of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. When asked why he continues to practice medicine, Dr. Begue said, "In infectious diseases, there is always a new cure and new ways to help our patients." Dr. Begue is Fluent in both English and Spanish.
