    Dr. Raymond Watts specializes in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital. He received his medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport and completed his residency training at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. With more than 26 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Watts is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. He also serves on the faculty at LSU Health New Orleans as a Professor of Pediatrics, Department Head of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and the William H. Stewart, MD Chair in Pediatrics. When asked why he chose to practice Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Dr. Watts said, “I believe that Pediatric Hematology and Oncology stands at the cutting edge of scientific and clinical breakthroughs, offering dramatic improvements to the care of children with serious blood disorders and cancer.”
