Cara J. Lasley, DO
Dr. Cara Lasley specializes in pediatric cardiac critical care and cares for patients in the CICU of the Children's Hospital New Orleans Heart Center. Dr. Lasley attended medical school at AT Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. She completed her residency and critical care fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She then went on to complete a 4th year fellowship at University of Alabama at Birmingham in cardiac critical care.
She joined LSU Health New Orleans and Children's Hospital in 2021 and serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Department of Cardiology. Dr. Lasley is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care.
When asked why she choose to practice pediatric cardiac critical care, Dr. Lasley said “to be a part of a team of people that helps bring hope and longer lives to the children and families affected by congenital heart disease.”
