Virtual Care with Children's Hospital Pediatric Specialists
Connect with a pediatric specialist from anywhere in Louisiana
Many Children’s Hospital Specialists offer follow up care through virtual care, which saves our patients and families many miles of travel. The next time you see your provider, ask him or her if virtual care is right for you. Our current participating service lines are listed at the bottom of this page.
I have been scheduled for a virtual care visit. What do I do now?
After being scheduled for a virtual care visit, you should receive an email or text message with a link to activate your account. By following that link, you will be prompted to download our mobile app, which will be used to facilitate the visit.
If you did not receive an invite after 24 hours, please contact our office so that we can resend your acount link.
You can also download the Virtual Care CHNOLA app on your tablet or phone:
*Please note: If you get an error that your email is already in use, do not register for a new account.Simply reset your password. If you believe this is in error, please contact us.
On your appointment date:
Two hours before your appointment, you will receive a text reminder to log in.
At the time of your appointment, you’ll be reminded to log into your account for your appointment. You can access virtual care through your computer using the link above or through our mobile app. We recommend using a reliable WIFI connection for these visits rather than a cellular network.
*Please note: All Apple users must use the Virtual Care CHNOLA App.
When using the app:
- Tap the app and log in to your account
- Under the patient’s name, tap the green bar that says “Visit starting soon…”
- Tap “Start Visit”
- Fill out the short intake form and enter the waiting room.
If you run into any problems, feel free to reach out to us on our Contact Us page.
