What is Voiding?
Voiding is a medical term that covers a range of urologic conditions your child may experience, including:
- Urinary Incontinence
- Urinary Urgency and Frequency
- Painful Urination
- Urinary Tract Infections

Children’s Hospital New Orleans’s Healthy Voider Clinic is a convenient way to schedule an appointment for kids and teens experiencing any of these problems.
From the comfort of your own home, you’ll be able to have a virtual care appointment with our Pediatric Urology Voiding Specialist, Sherry Langston, APRN, PNP-BC. Through this virtual care program, we offer the following:
- A thorough assessment of your child’s voiding issue and an individualized treatment plan
- Medications electronically prescribed if needed
- Imaging can be ordered
- A review of imaging with you/ your child via a virtual care visit
How Does It Work?
Please note that this program is intended to treat the conditions listed above. If you are unsure, please call us, and a member of our staff can help guide you.
On the day of your appointment, log in to your MyChart account on your mobile device or computer and complete eCheck-In for the visit. Once that’s complete, you’ll see a button to start the video. For more detailed instructions and to reach the MyChart Login Screen, click here.
Please note that our virtual care visits require an active LCMC Health Patient Portal account. If you don’t have one, you can create one by calling our office at 504.896.9233, or visiting the LCMC Health Patient Portal to get started.
For providers, please fax referrals to 504.896.9861. Please specify that you are referring your patient to the Healthy Voider Clinic.
