Healthy Voider Clinic

Schedule an Appointment

To schedule a virtual care appointment with the Healthy Voider Clinic, you can call 504.896.9233 and select option 2 or fax a referral to 504.896.9681.

The Children’s Hospital New Orleans Healthy Voider Clinic offers a convenient way to address voiding issues in children and teens. The Urology department providers recognize that urinary problems can be embarrassing for both children and their parents, though voiding issues are one of the most common reasons children and teens are referred to a pediatric urology specialist.
Our pediatric voiding specialists offer a thorough assessment of the child’s voiding issue to make sure a serious underlying condition is not causing voiding dysfunction. Our team works with the patient and family to offer a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan to help the patient achieve continence.

What is voiding dysfunction?

Voiding dysfunction is a medical term that covers a range of urologic conditions your child may experience, including:

  • Bedwetting
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Urinary urgency and frequency
  • Painful urination
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections

Non-surgical treatment options include:

  • Behavior therapy
  • Biofeedback
  • Constipation relief strategies
  • Education on appropriate voiding
  • Medications as necessary
