One Month (30 day) Active Membership - $10
For Parents and Grandparents with young children and created for families with changing schedules in these changing times! Purchase of this membership will allow you to make reservations for play times at our State Street location. Morning and afternoon time slots are available.

Ongoing member activities & services

Drop-In times (birth – 3 years)

Parents or grandparents can bring their children to enjoy the playroom, make friends and socialize! Free for active members only.

Uptown: Monday – Friday, morning or afternoon sessions by reservation only. Please call 504.896.9591 to inquire.

Parent-child activities

Schedule your play time to join us for weekly activities facilitated by Parenting Center Staff, including music and art experiences.

Resource Library

Parents are welcome to check out books on a wide variety of parenting topics from our library. Our staff is here to assist you in selecting a book.

Parent Consultation and Coaching

We offer confidential consultations for individuals and couples, as well as ongoing parent coaching. Call 504.896.9591 or e-mail chparenting@lcmchealth.org to schedule an appointment. One-time consultation is $50 for members, $75 for nonmembers. Or talk to one of our parent educators by phone any time.

Socialization

Members enjoy socializing with other parents and children in an inviting playroom filled with age appropriate toys/activities, and, coming soon, an outdoor play area. Our "drop-in” provides quality playtime for parents (and grandparents) with their children under 4 years of age.

Parental guidance

Members have access to our staff of Parent Educators to discuss parenting issues. The staff's role is to guide and coach parents using practical suggestions to help with the ordinary stresses of raising children from birth through adolescence.

The center maintains an extensive library of parenting books that may be checked out by members only.
