Virtual Care for Kids from Children’s Hospital New Orleans is here where you need us most – at your fingertips. Now, you can access Children’s Hospital’s expert providers anytime, anywhere with Virtual Care 24/7.

Virtual Care for Kids gives direct access to a pediatric provider right from your smartphone, tablet, or computer if your child is sick or has a minor injury. Now with providers available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, parents can access Virtual Care as a virtual urgent care visit!

How does it work?

Virtual care is easy, billed just like a visit to the pediatrician, and can be used when children are experiencing symptoms including cough, runny noses, skin rashes, minor cuts and abrasions, or diarrhea.

Before your urgent virtual visit, you can even call Virtual Care for Kids to get the opinion of one of our professionals. If a condition requires an in-person visit to diagnose or treat, you will gain the reassurance of the provider's recommendation to come in, and our staff can help you set up an appointment.

Step 2. A Virtual Care Navigator will get you registered and send you a link to the virtual care visit via email.

Step 3. Once you've received the link, fill out a consent form and click the link to the video.

Toni Gross, MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. Toni Gross is a Children’s Hospital Emergency Medicine doctor and Chief of the Emergency Department at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. Originally from Baton Rouge, Dr. Gross received her training at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia and completed her pediatric residency at LSU Health New Orleans and Children’s Hospital. She was a fellow at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine and trained at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Prior to joining Children’s Hospital Dr. Gross served on the Board of Governors with the Arizona EMS, then worked as an attending physician in the Emergency Department at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
