smiling girl, "Ways to Support"

Caring for kids and our community

During this unprecedented time with the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Children’s Hospital New Orleans has never been more grateful for the support of our community – and you.

Even in the face of crisis, Children’s Hospital never stops providing the highest level of pediatric care to every child, no matter his or her family’s ability to pay.

As the founding member of LCMC Health, we are working diligently to support the adult hospitals within our system – deploying our staff to help bear the patient load and sharing vital resources and life-saving equipment.

Being a part of New Orleans, we know that our community is resilient, and we will get through this the only way we know how - together.
How can you help during this time?

Give to our area of greatest need – The Kids’ Fund

During this coronavirus outbreak, other illnesses and emergencies have not stopped. The health of our patients and staff is our top priority and we will not stop working to provide extraordinary care. The Kids’ fund provides us with the critical resources we need to do what we do best – care for kids.

Make Greatest Impact

Give to our Patient-Family Assistance Fund

This fund provides critical assistance to our patient families in need of financial support while their child receives care at our hospital. Requests range from help paying utility bills to assistance purchasing life-saving compounded prescription medication, not covered by insurance. Support our families in their most vulnerable time.

Donate food or snacks for our caregivers

We appreciate your willingness to help our frontline team members with meal donations during this unprecedented crisis. Donating meals or snacks is an extraordinary way to say thank you! In order to keep you and our team safe, we ask that you abide by the following guidelines.

  • Meal donations must come from a commercially licensed kitchen. We are unable to accept meals produced in private or unlicensed kitchens.
  • All meals must be individually wrapped and labeled with the contents. We cannot accept large trays of food that need to be served buffet style.
  • Comfort Cart: Snacks are needed as well to stock our comfort cart. Individual, prepackaged snacks are a great addition to the cart that serves our team members daily. Bags of chips, cookies, crackers, etc.… are all welcome.

For your safety and the safety of our patients and workforce, Children’s Hospital has restricted visitors and we are unable to welcome donors inside our facility at this time. Distribution of meals will be done by our team.

If you’re able and interested in donating meals or snacks to our team, please contact Lynnsey Belsome at for approval and to schedule delivery.

Donate supplies

The LCMC Health Supply Chain team has worked diligently to procure necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our health care workers who are on the front lines. In an abundance of caution as COVID-19 spreads in our community, and with the increased global demand for supplies, LCMC Health is now accepting donations of needed supplies from the business and medical community (dentists, suppliers, etc.) who have available supplies.

Donations must be in unopened, original packaging, in quantities of 1,000 or greater and in accordance with approved hospital standards.

Requested donation categories include:

Masks (N95, surgical, procedure) | Disinfecting wipes, such as Clorox or Sani-cloth wipes | Hand sanitizer | Face shields | Goggles and eye shields | Isolation or surgical gowns | CAPR/PAPR machines and disposables | Flocked swabs

To ensure that we can safely use any donated items or equipment, our safety and infection control experts need to review information about the items before they can be sent to our hospitals. Please complete the fields to provide details about your donation and a member of our team will respond as soon as possible with next steps.
