Asher’s Fund
Jill and Michael Pinsky established the Asher Pinsky Memorial Fund in honor of their beloved son, who died in June 2020 at just three months old from a rare epilepsy syndrome. The entire staff at Children’s Hospital New Orleans, through the coordination and support of the Palliative Care team, worked tirelessly to provide the best possible quality of life for Asher and his family in the midst of a grim diagnosis.
The Asher Pinsky Memorial Fund seeks to ensure all children and families facing serious illness have access to exceptional, compassionate care. Asher’s Fund supports the Palliative Care program through advanced training and certification for the Pelican Krewe Staff, as well as educational opportunities and training for the rest of the Children’s Hospital New Orleans community.
Caring for a very ill child is often lonely, isolating, and scary. An understanding and kind medical care team can make all the difference. Your donation to Asher’s Fund will support the CHNOLA Palliative Care program to ensure the highest level of care and support for all children and their families in Louisiana and the Gulf South.
