The Clinic for Internationally Adopted Children – first in the state of Louisiana – provides comprehensive assessment of internationally adopted children. In particular, children are evaluated for potential infections acquired in their country of origin, need for immunizations for the child and the family, and neurodevelopmental assessment. In conjunction with the Traveler’s Clinic, advice is also provided to parents before they travel abroad to complete adoption.
