Room Assignments
Room assignments at Children’s Hospital are based upon the admitting diagnosis and the bed availability on the day of admission.
Room TemperatureAll rooms in the hospital are centrally heated and air conditioned. If the temperature is not comfortable, please notify Guest Services at extension 4444.
Calling Your Nurse
A nurse call button is located on each patient’s bedside. When the button is pressed, the nursing station is alerted that you need assistance, and a light flashes above your door. A staff member will respond to your signal as soon as possible.
Television
Television sets are provided free of charge in each room, except in the critical care unit. Please be considerate of other patients by playing TV sets softly and by turning off your set at bedtime.

Movies are shown daily on Channel 7 at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. A movie guide is located in each patient’s room.
Most of the televisions in patient rooms are closed caption televisions. If you find that the television in your room is not closed caption accessible, please contact Guest Services at extension 4444. This service can be added to the television in your room at your request.
