The Psychiatry Department provides consultative services that include a brief comprehensive psychiatric evaluation for dispositional purposes and to initiate psychiatric treatment. The department is also available for patients and families in crisis to initiate stabilization. They are active with the Social Services Department in facilitating mental health treatment.
