PEDIATRIC HEADACHE: REVIEW OF A COMMON PROBLEM AND AN APPROACH TO EARLY MANAGEMENT

OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss pertinent history and physical exam findings for evaluation of headaches in children.
  2. Review the current approach to treatment of headache in pediatric patients.
  3. Review the evidence regarding the role of lifestyle changes in the treatment of headache and the current recommendations regarding pediatric headache hygiene
INTENDED AUDIENCE:
An integrated educational program for pediatricians and pediatric specialists as well as family physicians in practice and in residency training. Content is appropriate for other healthcare professionals including registered nurses.
Credit: 1 Hour
