The patients are wonderful, special and treating them is gratifying and incredibly satisfactory. I want to do good that can be seen and measured but I also know that there will be some patients for whom the impact of our treatment may be intangible and yet so very positive.” Dr. Gardner sees the practice of medicine continue to be rewarding and challenging, as new innovations or advances makes it possible for use to see improved survival in children with cancer or hematological disorders.
