Safety & Security
Your Child's Safety
  • Make sure your child has a hospital identification band on at all times.
  • All patients under three (3) years of age must sleep in a crib. No exceptions.
  • It is of the utmost importance that the bedrails on cribs or beds remain up at all times, unless you are in direct contact with your child.
  • To increase your child's safety, we ask that you:
    • Notify your child's nurse when he/she will be unattended.
    • Do not allow any person that cannot be identified as a Children's Hospital employee to remove your child from your presence. Ask the employee where the child is going and when they are expected to return. If you have any questions regarding the location, contact the nurse.
    • Let your nurse know if your child is being followed by the Office of Community Services, involved in a custody case, or has been a victim of violence.
