Children's Hospital's medical team is trained to care for the unique healthcare needs of children - children needing more time, more care and more specialized medications and technology than adults.
In 2012, Children's Hospital recorded more than 200,000 patient visits, with children coming to us from 63 of the 64 parishes in Louisiana, 37 states and 5 foreign countries. In all, 48,245 children received care from the hospital in 2012.
