Four unique designs created by Children’s Hospital patients
Every holiday season, Children's Hospital offers the community holiday cards designed by patients. The cards provide a unique way to send seasonal greetings to family, friends, and business associates, while contributing to the wellness of children throughout the year. All proceeds benefit Children's Hospital.

Kurt Darré of Metairie, La. is a patient at Children’s Hospital who has undergone two surgeries for chronic laryngitis. The most recent was in August 2008. An 18-year-old freshman at the University of New Orleans, Kurt is majoring in hotel, restaurant and tourism administration and hopes to one day manage a hotel in Hollywood. Heather LeMay, 18, diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and diabetes, has been treated since 1993 at Children's Hospital in her home city of New Orleans. Intrigued with art since her hand could hold a pen, she hopes this card brings as much joy as she had creating it.| C. SANTA AND SNOWMAN | ||

Samantha Bertacci of Slidell, La. is a former patient of Children’s Hospital who is now a cancer survivor. The 18-year-old freshman at Southeastern Louisiana University was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) in 1996 when she was 6 years old. After relapsing in 1998, Samantha received bone marrow and stem cell transplants from an unrelated donor. Cancer-free for the past nine years, Samantha enjoys painting and photography. | D. Allison Stuart is an 11-year-old resident of Metairie, La. who has undergone dental and ear, nose and throat surgeries at Children’s Hospital. An avid artist and dancer, Allison enjoys sharing her artwork with others. Her inspiration for the card came from her love for Louisiana culture and its rich heritage.
