Supporting our physicians at the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center is a multidisciplinary treatment team of nurses, therapists, social workers and technicians.

Special Interests: Individual and Family Therapy, program development, supervising social work interns and unit social workers, developing behavioral health training programs.

Clinical Liaison

Special Interests: Referral Development, crisis intervention, child adolescent behavioral health, substance abuse prevention and intervention, community relations, event planning, program development, trafficking prevention and intervention with emphasis on community awareness, mental health educator

Music Therapist – Board-Certified

Graduate School: Southern Methodist University, Dallas TX; Master’s Degree in Music Therapy
Special Interests: Research involving cognitive behavioral music therapy assessments and treatment applications, Developed the “Music Therapy Assessment of Automatic Thoughts” Guest lectures on the use of group drumming and story-telling in music therapy. Trained in Nordoff & Robbins “Creative” Music Therapy within the DIR, ABA and Humanistic approaches is assisting individuals with Autism develop communication, social skills and self-expression

 

 

Amanda Maher, Registered Art Therapist, LPC

Art Therapist

Undergraduate School: School of Visual Arts in New York, NY BS in Fine Arts
Graduate School: Drexel University Philadelphia, PA Master’s Degree in Art Therapy
Special Interests: Facilitating art therapy groups that utilize artistic self-expression, the creative process, and the discussion of symbolic language to help patients resolve conflict and problem solve, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self- awareness and achieve insight
